If this is your first appointment, we will take some time to find out about you and your family. It is important for us to know the details that have lead you to your current position in life. We will also make sure that you have a good understanding of us by providing a brief history of our firm and our associates. Details of your current financial situation and your short, medium and long term goals will be sought in order for us to prepare a useful assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your portfolio. Our recommendations will focus on capitalizing on those strengths and shoring up the parts of your plan that need attention. Our goal is to always keep what we can and build from there.

Your second appointment will be spent on the details of our recommendations relating to your current financial situation. It will address all pertinent areas including investment assets and allocations, the adequacy of your insurance protection, solutions to short term needs, and the building of your retirement portfolio. A detailed explanation of our unique management approach will be presented to show how it impacts your individual plan. We encourage you to participate in this process and ask as many questions as required to understand our approach for your account. Although we are always prepared, we do not expect you to make a decision at this point. You should leave this meeting with a thorough understanding of who we are and how we envision managing your account.

It is not uncommon for us to solicit the services of an accountant or an attorney for additional planning. In these cases, we will make the necessary appointments and arrange for the initial meeting to occur in our office where you are most comfortable. This puts us in position to help you manage the progress of these outside professionals and to make sure that all details are appropriately addressed in a timely manner. Many of our clients find that this saves them a great deal of time.
